The client was a very tall unique individual who hired Fourthspace beacuse they could help set him free. Due to circumstance the client had found himself in a house he did not like, with small rooms doors and corridors and all the characteristics of poorly built developer specified 1980s stock housing: all of which he client wanted to rid off.
Fourthspace worked closely with the client and builder to rip out the entirety of the house and re-do a completely new interior. Initial designs featured a triple height space and only one door in the whole interior which although met all building regs approval, it proved to be too expensive. The compromised option retained many of the original ideas and bespoke items. The client was free from the incarcerating way the old house was telling him to live. He could now live the way he wanted to.
