the fourth_space studio is situated on the 3rd floor above 3 artist studio’s in a converted and extended building that we undertook in Vyner Street, London E2. As a practice having always under- taken concept driven interior design work as well our architectural design services, it is important that our own workspace reflected that sensibility and looks........less officey.......less architecty and a bit more fun!
looking beyond the aesthetic preoccupations & formalities of architecture, fourth_space has a desire to simply be a place where creativity, craft, clarity, care, cost-effectiveness and above all else client collaboration are promoted.
we are not concerned with being defined by the certainty and repetition of a ‘signature style’, but rather by being open minded and willing to take on a variety of projects and varying budgets, with a relaxed attitude and methodology.
as a way of working, we are uninterested in architecture as a narcissistic entity, but in the camaraderie and cooperation of people with ambition, joining together through the process of building to make the most of every situation.
design guide, ferryman, pathfinder, provocateur....we help to set a tone for each project by presenting a vision & with it a flexible conceptual framework, that hopes to encourage clients & ‘builders’ alike to contribute toward a joint effort in authorship.
