This Shoreditch project, consisting of five large apartments as well as extensive B1 commercial space, was completed in 2010. Fourth_space were involved from outset at the projects conception, working with the agent, providing the building design, gaining planning consent for the client, and then overseeing the detailing, building regulations related work and quality control throughout the construction phase to completion. The design was driven by the desire to create a solution that responds to the industrial history, architectural features and scale of the street and the Boundary Estate. Whilst modern, the design is deliberately restrained and under-stated, using a limited palette of materials that reflect and reinterpret the character of the area.
